Prima Facie

I’m delighted to share that my new film, Prima Facie, is coming soon.

Adapted by Suzie Miller from her own Tony and Olivier Award-winning stage play, the film stars Cynthia Erivo as a barrister who defends men accused of sexual assault until a traumatic experience with a male colleague forces her to confront the justice system from an entirely different perspective.

The film stars Cynthia Erivo alongside Daniel Ings, Elizabeth Dulau, Noma Dumezweni, Elliot Levey, Toheeb Jimoh, Harry Treadaway and Sarah Junillon.

Prima Facie will have its World Premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Sunday 13th October 2026, followed by screenings at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2026.
